Formed in the spring of 2021, Washing Machina is a Stockholm-based band whose creative spark was ignited when Mark, Karl, and Sara began exchanging musical ideas. With the addition of Emelie on drums, the band found the missing piece that solidified their sound. Drawing inspiration from influential bands such as Foo Fighters, Sonic Youth, Breeders, Smashing Pumpkins, Pavement, and Dinosaur Jr, Washing Machina blends elements of alternative and indie rock to create their unique sound.

With their debut EP “Perfect Misfits,” Washing Machina is showcasing what they are all about through the five tracks. According to The Other Side Reviews, “Awash with indie rock, they bring a sprinkle of everything we love about old-school rock and add it to something uniquely them.” Meanwhile, Less Than 1000 Followers praises the EP, saying, “With infectious guitar riffs, a variety of grooves, and graceful vocals, the songs captivate you in an instant.” Pop Fad Blog describes the EP as “a glacial work, massive in its qualities as though there were no end in its mass. Since their formation, Washing Machina has already made a mark on the Swedish music scene with several successful shows. Recently, the band sold out the legendary indie rock club Heaven Up Here in Stockholm, solidifying their position as a rising star in the music industry. With their captivating sound and electrifying live performances, Washing Machina is poised to make an impact on the music world and leave a lasting impression on audiences worldwide.
